The mission of the fund is to provide relief to the Memorial Villages’ first responders who are themselves the victims of disasters or suffer other emergency hardships.
The Memorial Villages First Responder Relief Fund was established during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, recognizing the sacrifices that our first responders make on behalf of our communities, residents, and businesses; and that they too sometimes face hardships either directly or indirectly related to their service.
Initially, the Memorial Villages First Responder Relief Fund accepted donations from Memorial Villages’ residents, businesses, and others to provide financial assistance through cash grants to the Memorial Villages’ first responders who suffered financial hardships as a result of Hurricane Harvey. The fund now remains in place to provide financial assistance to our first responders who face future emergency hardships as a result of natural disasters or emergencies.
